Breakfast Show Greg James

Are they playing a range of new music?
They mainly play pop songs thats popular on the chats this is because the majority of the viewers will like it, however later on in the show are times when the least amount of people are going to be listening they will try other genres of music to see if people like it as there aren't as many people.
Are they supporting emerging artists - especially those from the UK?
Most of the artists that are played are already known by the listeners, this is because their target audiences is 15-29 so they will want to hear songs that they already know, for example, most of the songs on the charts.
Are they providing a platform for live music?
They have a live lounge for celebrities to come in and play live for the listeners, this allows people to listen to their favourite artists and see if they sound just as good live, it also allows the radio station to attract more listeners, as well as letting the listeners interact with the celebrities by reading out some texts or tweets.
Are they providing news, documentaries and advice campaigns to cover areas of relevance to young adults?

Throughout the show at different points there will be a section for news, the news varies from global events to the football score, they do this to attract different people who are interested in different things, the news stories will get repeated in later parts of the show so the new listeners have a chance to hear the news.

Are they offering at least 2 major social action campaigns across daytime and online each year, together with a number of other initiatives?

Are they interacting with their audience and how?
Due to their audience ranging in ages between 15-29 they interact with their audience through social media and people who text in, it gives people a chance to tell stories of something that might have happened to them, it also lets people share their opinions about a topic they are talking about.

How are they appealing to all demographics within the 15-29 age group?
They appeal to their target audience by playing the most popular pop songs as the majority of people in that age range listen to that music, this means they will be familiar with the music so they can sing along but it will also introduce them to similar music that they will most likely like. They also appeal to them through interaction, every show they allow people to text in and the host will read out some of the texts or people will share there opinions on something they are speaking about and they will read out people opinions and see if they agree.
