Production:
-Walt was at the centre of all decisions
-black jazz music was used with the orang-utan, this was changed in the 2016 version to avoid racism
-the budget was $4 million and it made $141 million in the US, $205 million worldwide and was the highest grossing film of all time in Germany
-they didn't make the film for money, they made it to make Walt happy due to the 'Sword in the Stone' flop
-there was a live action version in 1994
-made in Walt Disney Studios in California

-the drawings were based on the voice actors

Technology:
-Cel animation was used; it uses different layers of glass, 1 layer is for the animation e.g mouth, 2nd layer could be used for one character, 3rd could be used for another character then there would be a background layer
-the Cel animation was painted by Earl Hurd in 1914
-xerography= copying animatiors drawings onto a light sensitive aluminium plate and then onto cells
- Cel animation was expensive and took too long
