Theresa May being mocked

It is clear whether a paper is speaking positively or negatively about a politician by the picture they use, this is why when the Daily Mirror use this picture of Theresa May it can't be anything good. Also from using a picture like this its hard for people who support her to take her seriously, this makes people find it hard to support her and vote for her because of the images used, it is called satire when a newspaper mocks a politician, different newspapers use satire so how there readers who they support but also to try and show people who do support the politician being mocked. The picture linked with the title makes it clear that the newspaper will be bias against her, 'Lies, damned lies and Theresa May', this headline will stand out to people walking past because it so clear and honest, there isn't any puns or jokes it saying it how it is. Van Zoonen's theory can be applied to this as she talks about patriarchy and how newspapers portray woman, she also mentions how newspapers oppress and dominate women, this is shown from the two newspaper covers from the Daily Mirror both show pictures of Theresa May, but the pictures they use are mocking her so it puts people off supporting her.
