Analyse how the poster advertisement (Source A) has created meaning through the use of Media Language in this source by comparing it to the Shelter advertising campaign. Amnesty use a hand to cut the barbed wire instead of scissors of wire cutters is because it shows peace, this also links with the fact that the hand is in the peace sign showing how they do peaceful protests. The barbed wire represents how people are taking away peoples human rights, for example, some people are forced into a life of slavery meaning their human rights are being taken away, so Amnesty are showing how they fight this with peace and cut the wire restricting people from their human rights. Shelter follows similar colours by using the red but also black. Gender : stereotypes for gender are mainly based from the older times, men are meant to go to work and get money in for the family while the women stays are home looking after the kids, cooking and cleaning, these stereotypes aren't seen or thought of any more as women and just as work active as any man, so these stereotypes don't work for this time. Social Class : this is another stereotype that doesn't relate to the present day but there is still clear lines between the rich and the poor. The different social classes are lower class, middle class and upper class, the lower class or also known as the working class do all the hard labour and are usually considered to work for the upper classes, the middle classes also do work but its not as long or as hard, they could be doctors or police or something like that, the upper classes usually own the factories that provide work for the lower classes.
