Old Spice Adverts

  • Who does the advertisement appeal to? How do you know this?
  • It is aimed at woman as at the start he is interacting with women by telling them to look at their man then look at him.
  • What parts of the poster contribute to engaging that audience?
  • For the women it is the attraction of the shirtless man but also he is riding a horse which could appeal for many women, what could attract men is the idea that they could be like this man.
  •  How is the product featured in the advertisement?
  • The product is made to look like any man who uses this can have the chance to be like the man in the advert, but it would also give them confidence as they feel like a man as shown from the writing 'smell like a man, man' which would make the views want to buy it so they can feel/ smell like a man.
  • How do all the parts of the poster campaign work together to sell their product?
  • They incorporate different things that the majority of people like to attract as many people as possible to the advert and the product, for example: a horse, boat, sea, sand, horse, diamonds etc. all of these different part are used to attract people to the product and it makes it seem like the product will bring you all of these things.
