News: The Political Landscape of Britain




Conservative Party (Right Wing):
This is led by Theresa May but founded by Robert Peel in 1834, there aims are to improves the life for everyone through: a dynamic economy due to thriving businesses creating jobs, wealth and opportunity, strong society where families and communities have a secure foundation on which they can build their lives, a sustainable environment where the surrounding nature are enhanced and
protected for our future.



UKIP (The UK Independence Party):
UKIP is lead by Nigel Farage and is a party that wants to gain independence by leaving the European Union. Some of their aims are: reduce net migrations to 0 in the next 5 years, ban wearing face covers in public, six Brexit test, extra £11 billion every year in the NHS and social care by 2022, provide up to 100,000 new homes for young people every year, 20,000 more police, 7,000 more prison officers and 4,000 more boarder force staff. 







































The Conservative Party:
The Conservative Party is lead by David Cameron and their aim is to improve the quality of life for everyone by progressing economy for opportunity, wealth and business growth. A foundation for everyone to build lives and a sustainable environment. Their key policies are: increase the NHS spending reach to £8 billion extra per year by 2022/23, taking £300 away from wealthy pensioners, rising the cost of the threshold to from £23,000 to £100,000. 









































BNP-British national Party:
The BNP is a far right and fascist party. Its current leader is Adam Walker. Their main aim is to stop all immigration.
The Green Party:
A centre-left party, in many ways middle-class, committed to promoting environmental issues. One Member of Parliament (since 2010)
Labour Party:
Left wing group, made up of other smaller parties that's why its also known as the Co-operative party, leader is Jeremy Corbyn.
SNP- Scottish Nationalist Party:
Scotland's most powerful party in parliament. Nationalist party organised a referendum on Scottish independence day.
