H & M - Close the Loop

'Wear short skirt after 40', this picture shows the older lady on the bed with two younger people a white male and a black woman, but they position it so that both people are looking up at the lady making it seem like she is superior. As the woman is on the bed it seems like a sexual act is about to occur. It seems unusual that woman don't shave their armpits especially a woman that is so open about it, it makes it seem like she is a strong independent woman and due her being on the roof of a building like she is looking over the city it seems like she has a lot of power, also the pose she is doing makes it look like she is strong. She isn't just standing in this pose to show she is a strong confident woman it is also to show that she is going against the norms by having armpit hair. H & M Bring It On- Textual Analysis

Editing: In the H & M video 'Bring It On' there are loads of cuts used to show different locations and different people who all have old or dirty clothes, they use different locations to show that every where in the world people have old or dirty clothes which can be re-used to turn into car seats or made into other clothes. The cuts are also used as fast paced editing to show how time is still going on until near the middle where the girl is in the forest and time seems to slow down, then it cuts again to the manufacturing of materials to show the process. Soundtrack: In the background the whole time there is non dietetic sound of a beat that make it seem like the cuts are fast,  the other non diegetic sound is of the woman speaking over the people its like she is narrating the people, one of the only diegetic sounds used is the sound of the birds when the woman is standing in the forest. As shown my logo is my initials CJ but joined together, at the end of the J there are leaves which represent how naturally grown my materials are, but when the logo it on clothing I took the leaves out as I think it looks better just being black lettering.
