Title Sequence: Evaluation Questions


1. What Media Language have you used in your title sequence and how do they follow the codes and conventions of this element of a TV Drama?
In our title sequence we have used some media language, for example we have used the words; antagonist, protagonist
2. What genre is your TV Drama and how is that made clear in your title sequence?
The genre of our TV Drama is action, crime drama.
3. When in your episode will your title sequence occur and why?
At the start so the audience has the feel of what type of TV Drama they are watching, for example in our title sequence we have guns, money and explosions so they know that it'll mainly be action.
4. How does the mise en scene of your title sequence suit the chosen genre, setting, era and the
narrative of your programme?



5. Who would be the target audience of your programme and what will appeal to them about your TV Drama idea? How is this communicated in the title sequence?
The target audience of our TV Drama would be older teenagers 
6. What TV Dramas did you refer to for inspiration for your own original idea?


7. If you were asked to complete a textual analysis of your title sequence, how would you comment on the director's use of camerawork, editing, sound and mise en scene?

Media Language and Representation: Unseen Advertisement

Analyse how the poster advertisement (Source A) has created meaning through the use of Media Language in this source by comparing it to the Shelter advertising campaign. Amnesty use a hand to cut the barbed wire instead of scissors of wire cutters is because it shows peace, this also links with the fact that the hand is in the peace sign showing how they do peaceful protests. The barbed wire represents how people are taking away peoples human rights, for example, some people are forced into a life of slavery meaning their human rights are being taken away, so Amnesty are showing how they fight this with peace and cut the wire restricting people from their human rights. Shelter follows similar colours by using the red but also black.
